The National Organization of Community Sports (NOCS) is a subsidiary of our parent nonprofit, Varsity Mentors. NOCS has seven sports, and each is designed to let boys and girls and men and women play together against each other or on the same teams. This is to say, these sports reward strategy and accuracy, not power. A 15-year-old girl should be able to compete with a 45-year-old...and win.
Studio1248 plays all seven NOCS sports. These include puntball, ReadyGo, Cliveball, sky archery, Oddsies, Redball, and floorgolf
Fridays are usually our day to play the NOCS sports, with small local tournaments and league play on various weekends. Any student can opt out of any NOCS sport but must provide evidence of independent, organized physical activity if they do so, in order to fulfil Ohio's PE requirements.
There is no athletic fee for NOCS participation, although waivers and physicals must be signed and submitted to Studio1248.
