Trackschool is an approach to education. Imagine a railroad track. There are two rails and the ties linking the rails. For Trackschool, the first rail is the creative-skills rail, the bottom rail is the core-skills rail, and the ties are character traits.
All students graduating from a Trackschool program must master the core skills, which is the base-line amount of knowledge on traditional subjects like reading, writing, math, science, and history.
The creative skills allow students to shape activities to their talents, visions, or gifts. Mentors and parents translate work done here into the traditional school categories. For example, a student starting a business and developing a web page receives credit for economics, writing, and computer skills.

All Trackschool work is logged in some fashion, and a student must complete 1100 hours of schooling a year.
